Allison Jegla, JIF ’10 Named Vice President for Program Development

ANN ARBOR, MI, August 31, 2017 – The Joyce Ivy Foundation announced today the addition of Allison Jegla to the Foundation’s professional leadership team. Jegla will become the Vice President for Program Development, effective September 1, having previously served in a number of capacities that include leading initiatives in fundraising, communications, and alumnae relations.

As Vice President, Jegla will contribute directly to the growth of the Joyce Ivy Fellows Program and direct the Joyce Ivy College Admissions Symposium (JCAS). She will support Foundation fundraising and development activities and will also oversee the growth of the Foundation’s online platforms and communications systems. ​

Caroline Kerr, Chief Executive Officer. “She understands Joyce Ivy’s mission at a core level, having been a Summer Scholar, and has contributed in myriad ways over the years. Allison is enormously talented, and we are delighted to have her in this leadership role.”

In 2010, Jegla was selected as a Joyce Ivy Summer Scholar and attended Brown University. She then became the first alumna to serve on the Scholar Selection Committee (SSC), Joyce Ivy College Admissions Symposium (JCAS) Planning Committee, and Morehead-Cain Nominating Committee.

In 2012, Jegla was named the Foundation’s inaugural Fellow and launched the first alumnae Pay It Forward campaign. Jegla was promoted to Senior Fellow and most recently held the position of Director of Fellows and Innovation.

A native of Michigan, Jegla is a graduate of Pewamo-Westphalia High School and the University of Pennsylvania. During her time at Penn, she worked in the Undergraduate Admissions Office and served on various admissions panels. Jegla has participated in a regional Experience Penn event moderated by the Dean of Admissions and currently serves as an alumni interviewer.
