Programs and Events

The Joyce Ivy Foundation hosts annual events, both in person and virtual, to expose high achieving female high school students to college application and financial aid information.

Joyce Ivy College Admissions Webinars (JCAW)

Each fall, we offer a series of webinars featuring topics such as the application and admissions process to highly selective colleges and universities, personal statement writing, and financial aid. These sessions are facilitated by college admissions professionals and are open to students, interested family members, and educators. Webinars are usually scheduled for October and November.

Joyce Ivy College Admissions Symposium (JCAS) – May 2026

The Symposium is an in-person event that offers specialized sessions including, the college admissions process, personal statement writing, navigating the financial aid process, as well as a case-study workshop led by admissions officers where YOU will get to see how your college application is actually read by universities

The workshops are open to students, educators and counselors, and family members.  It is an opportunity for you to connect with admissions officers from institutions such as:  Duke University, Hamilton College, Johns Hopkins University, Middlebury College, Mount Holyoke College, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University of Chicago, Washington University in St. Louis, Wellesley College, and Williams College!

The next JCAS will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm; location to be determined.  Please check back for registration information in February 2026.

Summer Scholars Send-off Dinner-May 16, 2026; 6 p.m.

Each year the Joyce Ivy Foundation names Summer Scholars, young women from the Midwest, who receive a scholarship to attend a residential summer pre-college program at highly selective colleges and universities in the U.S.  The Send-off Dinner is an opportunity for us to celebrate these scholars and their families.  During this event, Joyce Ivy also names a Leader of the Year who delivers a keynote address.  There are event sponsorship opportunities available, and individual donations are welcome to support this amazing scholarship program.

More details about registration will be available in February 2026.
